MFI COLLABORATION 2025

 

Miami Fashion Institute (MFI) at Miami Dade College and Paris-based clothing brand Faith Connexion have partnered for Alta Moda, featuring creations by selected recent MFI graduates.

This private event was held on December 4th at Mana Wynwood Convention Center as part of Art Basel 2024. Emerging from a shared commitment to community engagement, social responsibility, and fostering local talent between MFI and Faith Connexion, the event showcased four individual collections by MFI graduates Edgar Aguilar, Steven Alvarez, Ariana Ishairzay, and Kate Perez.

The collection, curated exclusively for this showcase, captures the perfect balance of each designer's unique style, infused with a touch of Alta Moda and the unmistakable DNA of the Faith Connexion brand. For over three months, the MFI designers participated in joint workshops and creative sessions led by Faith Connexion and MFI faculty. They were tasked with developing collections through the Resonance platform that reflected a fusion of diverse cultural influences and a commitment to sustainable fashion. Designers drew from the vibrancy of Miami's urban street culture and the elegance of classic French craftsmanship.
